Our Mission
We are dedicated to enriching our community by supporting local youth organizations and community events which are dedicated to preserving the Western Traditions and Agricultural Roots that run deep in the Santa Ynez Valley.
In celebrating our Western way of life, we are preserving this legacy for future generations.
About Us
The Santa Ynez Valley Western Heritage Foundation is a 501 C (3) organization consisting of a group of local volunteers dedicated to preserving the Western Heritage, Traditions and Agricultural Roots that run deep in the Santa Ynez Valley.
We formed the non-profit foundation to power our flagship community fundraising event - The Old Santa Ynez Days Rodeo, an annual PRCA sanctioned rodeo.
Proceeds from rodeo ticket sales and community sponsorship fund the annual rodeo and numerous youth organizations whose missions align with ours - preservation of the Western way of life and celebration of ranching and agriculture in our Valley.
The rodeo is a quintessential expression of Western Heritage and Tradition. We take great pride in presenting the event as a way of bringing the community together annually and throughout the year by supporting organizations whose mission aligns with ours.
From buying a ticket to the Rodeo to becoming a Rodeo Sponsor - every dollar counts to bring a great community event to Santa Ynez once a year and to help the youth of our community year round.
ORGANIZATIONS WHO RECEIVE OUR SUPPORT

Golden Circle of Champions
Assisted in raising awareness and funding for their organization which helps children with cancer.

District 7 High School Rodeo
Helped secure funding for travel, lodging, and meals for those who couldn’t afford the event.

Santa Ynez High School - AG Dept
We are working on upgrading their facility and promoting their programs to help enroll around 100 or so students that could not due to a shortage of teachers.

Santa Ynez Elks Children’s Christmas Fund
Helped raise money for the annual Christmas fund.
